Velma comes over to our place & tickles the ivories for a couple of hours every month. It’s been a wonderful treat to hear her play & sing, and her fans (who missed her for so many years) have been showing up for SRO events every time.
Velma Frye will be playing for a special Happy Hour (actually 2 hours!) -- singing, playing our upright piano, and most likely whipping out the ukelele for a song or three. Extra special: Velma wrote a song especially for Blue Tavern -- come hear it. It's super-catchy!
Due to popular demand, special guest SAMMY TEDDER will again join Velma for the first set!
And stick around for the late show, courtesy of jazz pianist LUIS RODRIGUEZ. It's gonna be a piano-palooza up in here.
Free admission, but donations are appreciated.

As always, visitors are encouraged to bring in food or have it delivered; drinks must be ordered at the bar.
