Join us on the 22nd floor of the Capitol for a sunset view and an engaging presentation.
This last program in the Florida Humanities Speaker Series offers an appropriate finale to the previous discussions about education and race; labor and the economy; and the environment. Taking a look back at the 20th century, we will see how Florida grew from the least populated Southern state just before World War II to its current place as the third most populous state in the country.
Distinguished historian and author Gary Mormino explores Florida's history and growth and what the state's future may look like. A discussion about ways to keep Florida strong as we move further into the 21st century will follow the lecture.
The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited, so please RSVP at the ticket link on this page to reserve your spot. Complementary wine and cheese will be served.
