Over the past four decades Donato (Danny) Pietrodangelo has been has been recognized for his work in the classical school of "straight," non-manipulated photography, typified by the photographs of Edward Weston. Paul Strand, Ansel Adams and others. Though distinctive in his of color in this style.
In the past few years, he has radically changed his approach to create digitally constructed panoramic photocomposites of cities and towns, he refers to as "Cityscapes." Pietrodangelo's exhibit at the Jefferson Arts Gallery includes a collection of cityscapes and other recent digital imagery.
Pietrodangelo is a internationally exhibited and published photographer and a past recipient of an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs. He was recently awarded Best of Show in an exhibition sponsored by the Association Institute of Architects, Florida.
