The Broadway musical Thoroughly Modern Millie is based upon a hit 1967 movie by the same name starring Mary Tyler Moore. The show has won six Tony Awards on Broadway and opens April 21 at The Quincy Music Theatre.
Set in 1922, Thoroughly Modern Millie is a tribute to the Roaring 20s. The heroine, Millie Dillmount, moves from Kansas to New York City with the intention of marrying for money – but nothing goes as smoothly as she planned. This dancing and singing hit opens April 21 and plays for two weekends, through April 30.
The six-time Tony, Award-winning music and dance extravaganza is directed by Keith Meccia who directing at QMT for the first time. Meccia loves this jazzy musical so much, he is directing it for the second time!

This Jazz Age musical plays April 14-16 and 21-23. Tickets are $15 for students/seniors/military and $18 for adults. Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. and matinees are at 2:30 p.m. on Sundays and the second Saturday, April 22.
