First Friday Lecture: Stan Rosenthal: Effects of Hurricanes and Severe Storms on Trees

Presented by Goodwood Museum & Gardens at Goodwood Museum and Gardens

Stan Rosenthal, who retired last year after 30 years as UF/IFAS Leon County Extension Agent for Forestry and now works with Big Bend Forestry, will discuss the results of a long-term UF research project into the effects of hurricanes and severe storms on trees. “Lessons Learned” offers valuable insight into how proper location, maintenance and care of trees in the landscape helps prepare them to withstand extreme weather conditions.

Feel free to bring your lunch!
