Tallahassee Genealogical Society Meeting - Using

Tallahassee Genealogical Society Meeting - Using "Find A Grave"

Presented by Tallahassee Genealogical Society at LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library

Find A Grave is a website, whose mission is "to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience".  Helen Strickland has been a member of Find A Grave for over eight years, documenting 8 thousand graves, and uploading 2.2 thousand photographs.  She feels that it is very important to record the deaths and burials of our loved ones in order to keep their memories alive.

Teaching Find A Grave classes is enjoyable for Mrs. Strickland, because it is a simple, free and rewarding way to get people excited about doing their family research.  Come learn how to use the many features of Find A Grave and create a "virtual cemetery" for your ancestors.

The meeting will be held in Program Room A of the downtown public library, 200 W. Park Ave. Sharing time is at 1:30pm and the meeting starts at 2pm.
