This class is a portfolio & skill set builder with teachings of fine art rendering using charcoal, acrylic, oil, gold leaf & chemicals that create aged patina effects. A weekly still life will be set up or students may bring photos to refer.
This class is a creative, fun, supportive environment and a portfolio and skill set builder. I will share my many years of experience, tips, tricks and secrets, including a few top secret methods I have self-taught and perfected over the years that incorporate some beautiful techniques using oxidation and alchemy. In this class, students will bring their own vision and grow under my guidance. We will have a new still life set up in each class, and students may also bring a photo to use as a reference. A little about me: I started taking college art classes when I was 5, at Valdosta State University, thanks to my mother's care and attention in noticing my affinity for art. I have kept a journal, built skills, practiced and experimented ever since. My first job after obtaining my art degree from FSU was painting birds and wildlife and graphic design for the State of Florida. I have studied in France, have exhibited and taught in many places, and now feel lead to share my skills and know-how in this class. ART CLUB is a supportive environment meant to nurture your individual style, creativity and vision. In addition to ART CLUB, I also offer separate, individual consultation to artists about his or her art journey, portfolio, career, with extensive personal experience in the following materials: acrylic, oil, watercolor, charcoal, gold leaf, metallic paints, chemical oxidation agents and a variety of texturizing mediums, as well as graphic design and branding.
ART CLUB sessions are $35 per class
ALL supplies are included to complete a painting each session: charcoals, paints, brushes, canvases
