Don’t miss this special celebration of the humanities that will include material dating back from 1885 to 1910!
Join us as Diane Whitney, Adjunct Professor in Humanities at TCC and a local composer, musician and historian, presents "Music and Theatre in Tallahassee: 1885-1910." She will trace the musical and theatrical path in the Tallahassee area, providing historical and cultural background information as she performs vocal and instrumental examples from the period.
Hosted by the Florida Humanities Council! Join us for parlor songs, quicksteps, and songs from groups such as Tin Pan Alley, operettas and minstrels. Songsheets are provided for audience participation. This is a free cultural event held at INIE.
