Join us as Diane Whitney, Adjunct Professor in Humanities at TCC and a local composer, musician and historian, presents "Music and Theatre in Tallahassee: 1885-1910."  She will trace the musical and theatrical path in the Tallahassee area, providing historical and cultural background information as she performs vocal and instrumental examples from the period.

Hosted by the Florida Humanities Council!  Join us for parlor songs, quicksteps, and songs from groups such as Tin Pan Alley, operettas and minstrels. Songsheets are provided for audience participation.   This is a free cultural event held at INIE.

Time: 12:00pm-1:00pm
Where: INIE 300 W. Pensacola Street Tallahassee, FL 32301 (3rd floor, take the elevator up to floor 3)

Guests are welcome to bring brown bag lunch, as coffee and water will be provided.
