Contra Dance 12/9 with

Contra Dance 12/9 with "In Cahoots" Playing

at Tallahassee Senior Center

In Cahoots are coming to play sprightly old-time music to warm us up on a December night, and have gotten several new tunes ready that you will really like, as well as some old favorites. Richard Hopkins will be choosing, teaching and calling the dances.

Come at 7:15 if you would like an introduction or a refresher, or if you would like to help with same.

No special clothes are needed, but do expect to be quite active and to get warm. We recommend against high heels and boots.

We have a lot of fun with traditional and new contra dances, with an occasional square or circle dance thrown in, all danced to live music with English, Scottish, Irish, French and African roots. All dances are taught and then called. They typically start simple and gradually get more complex during the evening.

Come by yourself, with a partner, or with a group. We change partners frequently during the course of the evening.

Please consider bringing your own water bottle to cut down on trash. We have snacks at the break because people like you bring them.

Lots of information about our dances and others, and about contra dancing generally, is posted at www.tallydancer.com
