On Saturday, December 3rd, Joella McGoogan will be teaching Introduction to Torch Fired PMC3 (Precious Metal Clay, fine silver) class at Making Awesome. PMC3 is clay containing microscopic particles of pure silver; it can be molded, sculpted and textured just as other malleable clays. Once it’s dried and fired, only the fine silver remains. In class, you will create a pendant and pair of earrings, or buttons using plant and organic items as design elements. We’ll cover texturing, shaping, drying, sanding, firing with a kitchen torch, and polishing.
