Under the Stars - Cornerstone Learning Community's 17th Annual Auction

Presented by Cornerstone Learning Community at Goodwood Museum and Gardens

Cornerstone Learning Community is hosting its 17th annual spring auction, “Under the Stars,” on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Goodwood Museum and Gardens. Fully 100% of the funds raised at the auction directly support the financial assistance and academic enrichment programs at CLC. Last year, the auction raised over $42,000, benefiting each and every student and, in particular, making a HUGE difference for the 22% of our students who receive need-based scholarships.

The auction is a party where you have the opportunity to bid on donated items either silently or during a live auction. In both the live auction and the silent auction, if you have the highest bid when the auction ends, you win the item. Heavy Hor d’Oeuvres and wine/beer/soft drinks are included in the price of admission. The event will include live music and student art!

About Cornerstone Learning Community:

At Cornerstone Learning Community, our aim is nothing short of positively impacting the world. Our mission to inspire and empower compassionate, global learners informs everything we do.

Our PreK – 8th grade education is the local leader in project-based learning, service endeavors, and environmental education. This begins with our youngest learners who participate in indoor and outdoor classroom activities, as well as in an intergenerational music therapy program in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Project –one of only a few such programs in the nation.

As students get older they advocate as engaged citizens, engineer solutions to complex problems, create inspired works of music and art, and make connections between our partner farm and the dinner table. In all such situations, our empowered and compassionate learners influence our world in real and meaningful ways.

As an International Baccalaureate Authorized World School, our middle school students engage in projects within a global context, extending their reach, potential, and sense of responsibility. Students graduate as capable and caring critical thinkers who create, collaborate, and innovate.

Our annual auction helps to make this world-class opportunity available to a diverse range of families by funding our scholarship program, seeding new initiatives, and sustaining essential programs.
