Arts for the Community at Thomas University’s mission is to combine the gifts and energies of Thomas University personnel and students (Act One) with those of community members (Act Two).
The work of singer Velma Frye includes hosting a live performance series for public television representing Tallahassee's Sister City Program with a solo concert in Krasnodar, Russia followed by two concerts in Germany. While continuing to perform, record and teach piano, Velma leads loyal groups of women's singing circles and offers retreats for the contemplative and exuberant use of the voice.
