Crooked River Lighthouse Presents 2016 LANTERN FEST

Shipwreck tales, glowing lanterns, music and night time tower climbs bring magic & history together.

Crooked River Lighthouse is excited to present the 2016 LANTERN FEST in honor of the 121st birthday of the lighthouse!  Light up the night as shipwreck tales, glowing lanterns, music, dance, and night time tower climbs bring magic & history together at the 1895 maritime landmark. This year’s LANTERN FEST will be held Saturday, October 22 from 6-10 PM at Crooked River Lighthouse, 1975 Highway 98 West, Carrabelle Beach, FL. Admission for LANTERN FEST is just $4 for adults and $2 for children.

Local actor, writer and director Don Denig has finally completed his role as a zombie on the hit series the Walking Dead and is sinking his teeth into a re-write of the play created by Caroline Ilardi, performed at the first LANTERN FEST. The play now entitled, 1766: Shipwrecked on Dog Island, is based on a first hand account of a man who spent a desperate 81 days wandering the Forgotten Coast’s dense swamps and forests in hope of rescue.
