The Longineu Parsons Ensemble

We’re very excited to have the Longineu Parsons Ensemble launching our monthly jazz event at the Garages on Gaines. Longineu is a local jazz giant and has been hailed by critics internationally for his skills on the trumpet. He also plays recorders, flute, percussion and has performed in over thirty countries.

Supporting Acts

Rob Ohtis (of Cap 6) & Anala Tefnut will share their unique style of jazzy soulful hip hop. When asked to describe what they do, the ever poetic Rob Ohtis merely replied - AFRO PYRO: A Love Story.  While that love is evident in their music, so is the uncompromising quality and the underground vibe.

Brad Ashwell will get the music started with a short DJ set of jazz & hip hop at 7pm before the live acts and then will return at midnight with an all vinyl DJ set of the latest in deep house accompanied by Earl Wilkes of Dubtribe Soundsystem on congas & Derek Jones and others on percussion.
