28th Art in Gadsden: Regional Exhibition of Fine Art

Art in Gadsden, the juried exhibition that began in empty storefronts in Quincy, Florida, enters its 28th season this year. Everyone is welcome to celebrate award-winning adult and student artists at the opening reception on October 14th at 6 pm. The 28th Art in Gadsden exhibition presents 93 works of art by 75 artists, selected by the Exhibitions Committee from a record number of 302 works submitted.

The distinguished juror for awards is Carrie Ann Baade, whose artworks are in collections around the world. She was awarded the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs Individual Artist Fellowship in 2010 and the Delaware Division of the Arts Fellowship for Established Artist in 2005. She lives and works in Tallahassee where she is an Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing at Florida State University.

On October 14, the Opening Reception begins at 6pm with a gallery talk and awards ceremony at 6:30pm. The reception continues to 9pm.
