Spend an evening with us reflecting on the passionate debate over the future of the Historic Capitol in the 1970s.
Tear it down or save it? That was the hot-button question as Florida’s government moved out of the old state Capitol.
Join us for a moderated panel discussion featuring central participants from both sides of the debate. Former Florida elected leaders and key organizers will share stories about their involvement in the Capitol debate. Citizens who participated in or were impacted by the movement to save the Capitol can record their memories in a special “Reflections Studio.”
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages.
Program is free, but seating is limited. Museum Members may reserve a seat now by calling the Museum at (850) 487-1902. The general public may reserve seats beginning September 27 via eventbrite.
