We invite you to attend the fifth concert of the season for the 2023-2024 Concert Series, The Artist Series of Tallahassee, featuring Terrence Wilson, piano at Opperman Hall, Sunday, March 3, at 4 pm. Also available as livestream and video on our website, www.theartistseries.org!

Pianist Terrence Wilson has appeared as soloist with the symphony orchestras of Atlanta, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Washington, DC (National Symphony), San Francisco, and St. Louis; the orchestras of Cleveland, Minnesota, Philadelphia; and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.

Terrence Wilson has played concerti with such ensembles as the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra in Switzerland, the Malaysian Philharmonic, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and the Orquestra Sinfonica do Estado de Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He has toured in the US with the Sofia Festival Orchestra (Bulgaria) and in Europe with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yuri Temirkanov.
An active recitalist, Terrence made his New York City recital debut at the 92nd Street Y and his Washington, DC recital debut at the Kennedy Center. He has given recitals in many major venues in the US and Europe, including the Verbier Festival in Switzerland and the Louvre in Paris.

He has received numerous awards and prizes, including the SONY ES Award for Musical Excellence, an Avery Fisher Career Grant, and the Juilliard Petschek Award. He has also been featured on several radio and television broadcasts, including NPR’s “Performance Today." In 2011, Wilson was nominated for a Grammy in the category of “Best Instrumental Soloist with an Orchestra” for his world premiere
recording of Michael Daugherty’s Deus ex Machina for piano and orchestra with the Nashville Symphony, conducted by Giancarlo Guerrero, and written for Wilson in 2007. Terrence Wilson is a graduate of The Juilliard School, where he studied with Yoheved Kaplinsky. In March 2021, Wilson was appointed to the piano faculty at Bard College

Senior Tickets for individual concerts: $23

Adult Tickets for livestream or video: $25; a password will be emailed to you. Must pre-purchase access to livestream or video by January 20, 2024.

Student tickets: $5, Live concert only. FSU, FAMU, TCC and high school students with a valid student ID may have access to the livestream or video at a discounted price. Please contact the Executive Director at 850-445-1616 or director@theartistseries.org. Must pre-purchase access to livestream or video by September 11.

Children 12 and under are admitted FREE to the live concert if accompanied by a paying adult. Adults 18 and over must purchase livestream or video for children: $25
