Hosted by our North Florida Suzuki School, this weekend program is specially designed to introduce the world of violin to young students ages 4-6 and their parents. We will learn basic violin playing and rest position, beginning aural skills, parts of the violin, and play movement games. All students will also receive at least one 20 minute one-on-one lesson with a Suzuki-registered instructor and parents will have a 30 minute session on how to best support their budding violinist at home. Students who attend will be eligible to enroll in our Fall 2024 Suzuki Violin program through the North Florida Suzuki School and will have their registration fee waived if they sign up directly after the Preschool Violin Camp. Students will receive a cardboard violin to use for the workshop and take home for later lessons. They do not need to provide any materials or instruments.

How Much: $75 for one student and 1-2 parents. Additional siblings may participate for $50. Siblings under the age of 3 who are not participating may accompany at no cost.

9am: Welcome, Movement Games

10am: Snack break (snack provided), building cardboard violin

11am: Parent Info Session, Kids Violin posture games

12pm: New skills showcase, end of day.
