2024 Red Hills Fire Festival

2024 Red Hills Fire Festival

Presented by Tall Timbers at Tall Timbers

The Red Hills Fire Festival - hosted by Tall Timbers - is a family-friendly, public event on February 3 aims to help increase awareness and understanding of prescribed fire as a safe way to apply a natural process, ensure ecosystem health, sequester carbon and reduce wildfire risk across the southern pine forest. Weather permitting, the event will include a live prescribed fire demonstration with color commentary from fire scientists to explain how teams safely conduct a burn, more than 30 exhibits will highlight wildlife and science activities and guided wagon tours through the fire-managed forest at Tall Timbers will be provided throughout the event. Tallahassee-based band, Two-Foot Level will be playing throughout the day and several food vendors will be serving lunch.
