Bohemian Friendships - A Music For Food Concert

Bohemian Friendships - A Music For Food Concert

Presented by Music for Food - Tallahassee at Grace Lutheran Church

Ring in the New Year by joining us for a Music For Food concert on Sunday, January 7 at 4:00 at Grace Lutheran Church featuring Corinne Stillwell and friends!

"Bohemian Friendships" will explore the music – and friendship – of Antonin Dvorak and one of his beloved students, Josef Suk. We'll start with Dvorak's sweet Miniatures for two violins and viola followed by this intriguing story and piece: Dvorak's daughter Otilie was a pianist and composer, and we'll showcase three of her charming little piano pieces. She married Josef Suk, and we are excited for you to hear his stunningly beautiful Serenade for Strings, featuring a conductor-less ensemble of 15 musician friends.

Music For Food is a musician-led initiative to fight hunger in our community, and we're part of a national organization with 22 chapters across the country. Our concert is free but we'll be collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations to benefit the FSU Food for Thought Pantry.

Donations may also be made online at https://musicforfood.net/donate. The suggested donation amount is $20 for adults and $5 for students.
