Opening Day of Women Among Us: Portraits of Strength

Opening Day of Women Among Us: Portraits of Strength

Presented by LeMoyne Arts at LeMoyne Arts

LeMoyne Arts is delighted to showcase the latest collection of the Women Among Us: Portraits of Strength series, with 20 new portraits. Come to this exciting exhibit opening Thursday, September 28th from 5pm – 7:30pm, with speeches at 6pm. Local, accomplished women, aged 65 or older, are featured in this exhibition of environmental photographic portraits. Each large-format portrait is enriched by a short poem and an engaging biographical story. The collection, a collaboration of Becki Rutta, Mary Jane Ryals, Carol Lynne Knight, Linda Hall, and Eleanor Dietrich, was created to honor these powerful women.

While you’re at the exhibit opening, bid on LeMoyne’s Art & Soul Celebration Silent Auction items, enjoy delicious food by Chicken Salad Chick, craft beer by DEEP Brewing, and enchanting music by They Came From The Same! This beloved local group is a brother-sister duo who sing charming harmonies of Folk, Blues, R&B, & Americana, supported by their expert acoustic instrumentation.

Women Among Us: Portraits of Strength is kindly presented by Katee Tully & Janet Hinkle.

Free for LeMoyne Arts Members, Participating Artists, and children under 12, $5 suggested donation for Non-Members
