4th Annual Sankofa Concert: Fiesta Musical

4th Annual Sankofa Concert: Fiesta Musical

Presented by Tallahassee St. Maarten Foundation at Lee Hall Auditorium

You are cordially invited to support and attend 4th Annual Sankofa Concert, “FIESTA MUSICAL” in celebration of culture, education and music. In an effort to continue Tallahassee’s rich tradition of cultural enrichment and in furtherance of Tallahassee and St. Maarten’s Sister City relationship, the Tallahassee St. Maarten Foundation will be hosting this wonderful community celebration:

From September 15th to October 15th, during National Hispanic Heritage Month, the United States celebrates the countless contributions to our society and culture of more than 60 million Hispanic Americans, Latinos, Latinas, and Latinx-identifying people. Like many islands of the Caribbean, St. Maarten is a melting pot of cultures, one of which is a vibrant Hispanic culture. Fiesta Musical aims to celebrate and recognize the artists that shaped the lives of this vibrant community through their inspirational music.

This Celebration of Latin Music & Jazz in South America, America, and the Caribbean will be hosted on September 17th, 2023, 7-9pm at FAMU’s Lee Hall Auditorium.

We are honored to have special guest artist and FAMU alumni, The Harden Project--John and Ja'Nia Harden headlining this year, with local guest performances by The FAMU Jazz Combo, Ciamara Smith, Elio Delgado, Paddy League, Isabel Ruano Azurdia, and the Miriam Watkins Latin Dance Troupe (Studio D).
