The Tallahassee Bach Parley presents: French Baroque “Fête Parisienne”

Presented by Tallahassee Bach Parley at COCA Spotlight: Singer focuses on the moon for lighthouse set

Music of Lully, Couperin, Campra, Charpentier and Telemann with Eva Amsler, Valerie Arsenault, Caroline Holden, Melissa Brewer, Brian Arsenault, Kim Jones, and Iain Quinn

The Bach Parley will explore music of well-known and more obscure French Baroque composers, as well as a “Paris Quartet” by the German composer Telemann. In order to hear the influence of the French language on the style of the music, special guest Pauline Amy De La Breteque will read texts in French to go along with the music.

The French word “parley” means discussion and a key element of Bach Parley concerts is the commentary to discuss historical context about the composers and to offer suggestions about what to listen for in the music.

Enjoy the music, the venue, and the magic of Baroque performance with five exciting concerts this season!
