On a golden afternoon, young Alice follows a White Rabbit, who disappears down a nearby rabbit hole. Quickly following him, she tumbles into the burrow, and enters into the merry and topsy-turvy world of Wonderland! Memorable encounters with characters such as the Mad Hatter and the March Hare as well as whimsical escapades with the Cheshire Cat and Caterpillar highlight Alice’s journey, which culminates in a madcap meeting with the Queen of Hearts and her army of playing cards!
Young Actors Theatre, one of the oldest independent youth theatre programs in the country, is celebrating its 41st consecutive year of training and production. It is the mission of Young Actors Theatre to expose, educate and enlighten the diverse community of greater Tallahassee and the region of North Florida through live theatre.
Performances are as follows: Friday, February 24th at 7:30pm; Saturday, February 25th at 7:30pm; Sunday, February 26th at 2:00pm; Thursday, March 2nd at 7:30pm; Friday, March 3rd at 7:30pm; Saturday, March 4th at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 5th at 2:00pm
There will be a Special Children’s Matinee on Saturday, March 4th at 11:00am. This matinee is an abbreviated version of the show and will include a meet and greet opportunity with the characters following the performance.
Tickets are $14 for children (12 and under); $16 for students; $18 for seniors and $20 for adults, and can be reserved on line (www.youngactorstheatre.com) beginning Saturday, February 18th. Beginning Monday, February 20th the Box Office will be open Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 12:00 noon for phone and walk up orders.
