MoFA Uncorked: Deep Roots

MoFA Uncorked: Deep Roots

Presented by College of Fine Arts at FSU at Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts

The museum kicks off its ‘Uncorked Series’ on Wednesday, May 17 with School of Dance Chair Anjali Austin and Department of Art Chair Lilian Garcia-Roig. Austin will share her project “The Quilts of Mrs. Gussie Beatrice Arnold Hill,” an exhibition of handmade textiles spanning five generations. In the lower level of the museum, Garcia-Roig will discuss her paintings ‘Plein-Aired Histories,’ a new body of work she generated during her residency as the recipient of the Blackwell Prize.   Drop in to peruse the galleries and hear more about these important projects over a glass of wine courtesy of Poco Vino with other friends of the College of Fine Arts.
