Join us when Senior Archaeologist, Jerry Lee, discusses pottery from various parts of Mission San Luis and illustrates how some of these ceramics fit in the historic site’s story.
Pottery fragments are extremely common artifacts in most colonial contexts at Mission San Luis. This pottery, whether produced by Apalachee potters in traditional forms, as colonowares, or imported from Europeans, Asians, or other Native American groups, had an integral role in the economy of San Luis.
