About the band… Wayne Pearcy is a New England area trumpeter and composer who has won numerous accolades, perhaps most known by the jazz community for placing second globally as a soloist at the ITG College Jazz Competition in 2011. His rich tone and lyrical playing style have earned him studies with some of the heavy hitters in Jazz, including Tiger Okoshi, Darren Barrett, and Wynton Marsalis.   Sasha Tuck recently relocated to Tallahassee from the Tampa Bay Area, where she was a respected figure on the thriving jazz scene and taught Contemporary Voice at St. Petersburg College’s Music Industry/Recording Arts program (MIRA) for ten years. Her brilliant vocal artistry has garnered acclaim from her peers, including from top-tier musicians like St. Pete drummer Dave Hamar. “Sasha exudes freedom and adventure when she performs,” says Hamar. “She always brings fresh ideas for any musical situation.”     Wayne and Sasha will be joined by Andrew Salow, piano, Allen Cadet-Civil, bass , Michael Bakan, drums.
