We are excited to offer this unique educational experience with Native American expert, Ben Kirkland. Kirkland was with Chehaw Park in Albany, Georgia for 34 years and served as their Nature Resources Manager. He was the 2019 recipient of the Jim Fowler Environmental Award for his exceptional service and commitment to preserving the natural world. He also served as organizer of the Native American Festival, Frontier Festival, and Traditional Skills Gathering at Chehaw Park. During the program at Pebble Hill he will demonstrate flint-knapping, fire-making, and other primitive skills. A limited number of tickets are available for a very special bonus to the program, These limited tickets inlude the program and a special visit to the “Indian Room” in the Main House/Museum which displays the vast collection of Native American artifcats that belonged to Mrs. Elisabeth Ireland Poe, last mistress of Pebble Hill.
