A Fine Romance : Tallahassee Civic Chorale summer 2016 concert

Presented by Tallahassee Civic Chorale at Turner Auditorium at TCC

To conclude their thirtieth anniversary season, the Tallahassee Civic Chorale returns to a favorite genre, the Great American Songbook, a favorite of audience and singers alike.  Under the direction of Dr. Leslie Heffner, the chorale’s summer program includes standards of American popular songs such as Ain’t Misbehavin’, Chattanooga Choo-Choo, and a trio of Gershwin tunes: Nice Work if You Can Get It, Someone to Watch Over Me, and I Got Rhythm.  Accompanying the Chorale will be Dr. James Amend, joined by accomplished jazz bassist Brian Hall. Rounding out the program will be solos and small ensembles to highlight individual talent within the Chorale.

The Tallahassee Civic Chorale’s summer concert “A Fine Romance: Music of the Great American Songbook” will be Friday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Turner Auditorium at 444 Appleyard Drive on the Tallahassee Community College campus. Admission is $9 for adults; $7 for seniors and students; free for students, faculty and staff with TCC ID. For tickets or more information visit www.civicchorale.com or call 850-942-1893.
