A discussion on some tricks and pitfalls of newspaper resources.
Sept. 25th (in person and Zoom) - presented by Jay P. Collins Newspapers can be an astonishing genealogical resource; filling gaps in the family tree, adding “flesh to the bones”, even uncovering long-lost family secrets. At the same time, newspaper research can be difficult, tedious, and down-right fruitless. Whether you have never used newspapers in your ancestral quest, or have been digging for decades, this discussion on some tricks and pitfalls of newspaper resources hopes to improve your success. The meeting is planned to be in person at the Tallahassee downtown public library (Room A) with a Zoom option. Sharing time/socializing is at 1:30pm and the meeting starts at 2pm. Those nonmembers preferring to Zoom may email publicity@talgensoc.com to request the link.
