Apalachicola Area Historical Society (AAHS) Heritage Dinner featuring Dale Cox

The Apalachicola Area Historical Society (AAHS) Heritage Dinner is fast approaching on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 6:30-9:00 pm at Holy Family Senior Center, 203 Dr. Frederick S. Humphries St, Apalachicola, FL. This year’s dinner theme will be the Florida Territorial Period, 1821-1845. Dale Cox, renowned Panhandle historian and author, will be the featured speaker.
Dale Cox is the author of more than a dozen books on Southern history and culture including the acclaimed “The Fort at Prospect Bluff”, “The Battle of Marianna, Florida”, “The Battle of Natural Bridge, Florida”, "Milly Francis: The Life & Times of the Creek Pocahontas" and many others and has won numerous awards.
The Heritage Dinner has been a long-standing fall tradition in Apalachicola. Formerly, it was an Apalachicola Library event but is now hosted by the Apalachicola Area Historical Society. Join this fun evening for a sumptuous meal and good company. Net proceeds will benefit the Apalachicola Area Historical Society.
Tickets are limited and are available for sale in person at the Raney House Museum or the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce office. Tickets are $60 each or two tickets for $100. Discounts are also available for current AAHS members. Deadline to purchase tickets is Monday, September 12th.
