Bobby Charles was a Louisiana Cajun songwriter who spent time with members of the Band in Woodstock in the 70's and returned to his home state later on. New Orleans claims him as their own. His most well known hits were See You Later Alligator which was a hit for Bill Haley and His Comets, and Walking to New Orleans for Fats Domino.
