Anderson Brickler Gallery is delighted to announce the Fall 2022 exhibit titled Mapping: The Work of a Textile Artist by Valerie S. Goodwin, which will open on September 28, 2022, and close on December 28. The exhibit contains a series of textile art creations made of fabric and mixed media materials, using techniques Ms. Goodwin developed over the last few decades. The artworks are intricate, including paint and multiple layers of fabric to create fine art abstractions inspired by real and imagined aerial landscapes. Ms. Goodwin, who taught architectural design at FAMU for over 25 years, has won numerous national and international awards. Anderson Brickler Gallery will host a reception for Ms. Goodwin on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 2 to 5 pm. An Artist Talk by Ms. Goodwin is scheduled for Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 3 to 4 pm. Regular gallery hours are by appointment on Wednesdays from 11 am to 3 pm and Saturdays from 2 pm to 5 pm.
