Tallahassee Genealogical Society Virtual Meeting: Researching Ephemera

Tallahassee Genealogical Society Virtual Meeting: Researching Ephemera

Presented by Tallahassee Genealogical Society at Online/Virtual Space

August 28th - “Researching Ephemera” presented by Madeline Artibee, Fulbright Scholar and PhD student in Public History
Ephemera is defined as “paper items (such as posters, broadsides, and tickets) that were originally meant to be discarded after use but have since become collectibles”. Many genealogists get excited when they find ephemera that was connected to their ancestor.
Ms. Artibee will present virtually from Croatia where she is living as a Fulbright Scholar. She will share her experience researching a military poster that came into her possession.
Sharing time/socializing is at 1:30pm and the meeting starts at 2pm. Those wishing to visit may email publicity@talgensoc.com to request registration information for the Zoom (virtual) meeting. The Zoom information will be emailed to members and other interested attendees about 3 days prior to the meeting.
