It's going to be a very special night this week at Free Jazz Thursdays, as the FJT house trio of Longineu Parsons (trumpet), Brian Hall (bass), and Michael Bakan (percussion) welcomes SAXOPHONIST EXTRAORDINAIRE SULAIMAN HAKIM as its featured special guest. Hakim, who has been based in Paris, France, for more than four decades now, has performed with MAX ROACH (!!), Luther Allison, Percy Sledge, Salif Keita, Baaba Maal, Doudou N’diaye Rose, and countless other stars from the domains of jazz, blues, and West African pop and world beat. His globetrotting career has taken him to more than 60 countries.
