Southern Shakespeare Company presents a Sword Fighting workshop with M. Derek Nieves.
En garde! During this 90-minute workshop with instructor M. Derek Nieves, participants will learn the basics of sword fighting for the stage. After introducing stage combat safety protocols, participants will progress to basic striking and parrying positions, then more! This workshop is designed to address beginners' concerns and will provide more experienced movers and fighters with a refresher on the important essentials.
$20; after registering at the event link, join us at Tom Brown Park August 6th at 10 AM in clothes that are easy to move in and comfortable closed-toed shoes without a heel.
