This “Sip & Slip” class offers a fun hands-on approach to functional pottery. Through the use of clay slabs, you will be able to explore a range of surface choices and forms that allow you to make your own Tea Bowl. Perfect to use for your morning tea/coffee, an evening whiskey, a flower arrangement, or even as a fun way to put a unique flair to homemade cocktails! Our experienced potters can assure you that drinks always taste better in a cup you made yourself!​ The surfaces will be done using tools, stamps, and even random objects that can create interesting textures which become further enhanced by the glaze you pick or highlighted by the wide range of underglaze colors in stock at LeMoyne. Using just your fingers we will show you how simple it can be to produce your own interesting form that will really make your piece stand out from the rest. By the end, you will have a beautiful new tea bowl that will put any old coffee mug to shame! Please feel free to bring drinks, snacks, and wine!
