"Maggie Never Bitter" - a musical staged reading

Presented by Essential Theatrical Associates at Ronald O. Davis Acting Studio/FAMU Theatre

"Maggie Never Bitter," a new original musical staged reading by local Tallahassean Taj Shotwell, is a modern story about love, betrayal, and faith. Maggie, a young teacher, returns home to face the unexpected bitterness of life. Will she follow her father’s advice to be “Never Bitter”? It will be presented on June 4th at the Ronald O Davis Acting studio, Tucker Hall, on the campus of Florida A&M University. There is a show at 2 pm and another at 7 pm.  Tickets are $5. Directed by FAMU Alum Lili Forbes (who also composed the music), the cast is comprised of a diverse group of students and teachers and other members of the community. The musical will be staged as a reading, followed by a Q&A session (only at the 2 pm performance), where the audience meet the cast and playwright to discuss the music, the show, and the production process. Seating is limited, so arrive early!
