The Tallahassee Museum is pleased to introduce our newest Guest Animal visiting us for the Summer...Caracals!
Caracals are wild cats that are native to parts of the Middle East, India, Central Asia and Africa. They are medium in size and are characterized by their strong build, short face and distinct long black tufted ears. Their reddish sand-colored fur helps them blend in with their environments making them excellent hunters, especially at night. Caracals are typically solitary animals but the Tallahassee Museum now has a brother and sister pair on exhibit until fall 2022.
Visiting the Guest Animals is included in the price of Museum admission.
