Dear Friends, I will be returning to the Wine House on Market Street for a second time this spring for a solo show of some new and some recent work. I will be at the Wine House from 1-7 on Saturday 23rd and from 1-4 on Sunday 24th.
Rob Lombardo Artist Statement
I set out to tell a story or explore an element of the natural world that intrigues me. Mixed media and found objects allow me to explore structure and composition while challenging technique, materials and assembly. My three-dimensional work pieces together cast-off industrial materials, metal, wood scraps, fabric, twine, twigs, gravel, and other junk waiting to be discovered. I use basic hand tools, adhesives, fasteners, glues and paints, but the assemblies are far from ordinary. It is exhilarating to work with so few boundaries, searching for the enduring bond among the design and material elements.

"Rob Lombardo and Frederick Mursch invite you to stop in and enjoy some fine wine and unusual art at this Pop Up at the Wine House on Market Street on Apr.23rd and 24th. The Wine House is more than a bar and package. Live music and food selections to go with great wine. This weekend is very special – no music, but lots of art!
Frederick and his staff have graciously offered to create easel space on the main floor of this cabaret for easy art viewing and the opportunity to use his live music corner to show my mobiles! Most exhibit space won’t show mobiles, so this is a first for me. Please come and sample Fredrich’s impressive wine selection and take a look at my work. I will be on site to greet you, so please stop in for a sip and chat on your way to dinner. Wear a mask, as is our custom now; there is plenty of outdoor seating.
