Have you visited yet? Popes Museum was inducted into the Georgia Registry of Historic Places for art and women's history October of 2021. Recently reopened after 40+ years of neglect and abuse, it has received awards and grants from the Georgia Women of Achievement, Georgia Counci for the Arts, Georgia Humanities and more. Georgia Department of Community Affairs states, "While not recognized until after her death, Pope's Museum is today recognized as among the oldest documented self-taught art environments in Georgia, the Southeast and is believed to rank among the oldest surviving such environments in the United States".    Contact us at popestoremuseum@gmail.com
