Painted Rain Barrels: A Public Art Exhibition

Painted Rain Barrels: A Public Art Exhibition

Presented by Chain of Parks Art Festival at LeMoyne Arts

The Chain of Parks Art Festival, in partnership with the City of Tallahassee’s TAPP program, has commissioned eight artists to use their artistic talents to decorate repurposed rain barrels for a public art project in downtown Tallahassee! These painted rain barrels will be on display for the month of April, leading up to the Festival weekend, April 23 & 24, 2022 and will be auctioned off at the festival as a fundraiser for LeMoyne Arts. The silent auction will open at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, and close 2 p.m. Sunday evening.
Artists include Dan Taylor, Gena McDaniel, Quia Atkinson, Lakey Love, Honey Hilliard, Pattie Maney, Marcia Mcauliffe, and Caroline Manuel.
The walking tour can be completed in 25 minutes! The rain barrels can be found at the following sponsor locations: LeMoyne Arts, The Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, Il Lusso, Jim Moran College, City Hall, Andrew's Downtown, Sachs Media and St. John's Episcopal Church.
The Chain of Parks Art Festival is also offering a 5-hour Rain Barrel Painting Workshop at LeMoyne Arts on April 21st with Pattie Maney. To register go to: chainofparks.org/workshop
