Join us for a special Story Time as author Arnekua Jackson reads from her debut children's book, "I Belong in Music". A fun children's activity will be included. In-Person at the Dr. B.L. Perry Jr. Branch Dr. Arnekua Jackson is a dream maker, culture disrupter, and an award-winning, choral director and music educator that has served grades K through 12 for over ten years. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Music Education degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and received both her Master’s of Music Education and Doctorate of Philosophy in Music Education from Florida State University. While serving at Hartsfield Elementary School, Dr. Jackson earned Teacher of the Year and Distinguished Educator of the Year, was awarded two Mayoral Proclamations, and received many more accolades.
