Mark your calendars for our 20th Sopchoppy Worm Gruntin' Festival - April 9, 2022 in the streets of historic downtown Sopchoppy. Worm Gruntin’ is a very real thing. Come and watch the worm charmers as they grunt the earthworms right out of the ground – the best freshwater fishing bait around.  The day starts with a 5K Race (runsignup.com to register), we have 100 arts & crafts and food vendors, and the Worm Gruntin' demonstration will be followed by a worm gruntin' contest for children (12 and under). There is a cornhole championship, a hula hoop contest and music all day, ending with the Worm Grunter’s Ball (dancing under the stars with 10 Lb Pancake Band)  from 7:45pm to 10:00pm. Come and enjoy the day in Sopchoppy as you browse the arts & crafts, watch the Worm Gruntin’ demonstration at 9:45am, listen to a little music, eat a delectable lunch, sit a spell under the old oak tree, then do it all again and make a take-your-time, family day of it.  Lots of special kid’s activities (bounce house, face painting, crafts, reading area) located near the old oak tree by the old train depot that is now a free museum.  See our Schedule on our webpage: www.wormgruntinfestival.com, or visit the link on our website to print your own schedule.
