Tallahassee Genealogical Society virtual meeting - 1950 US Census

Presented by Tallahassee Genealogical Society at Online/Virtual Space

February 27th (via Zoom) - The 1950 U.S. Federal Census presented by Robin Collins
Censuses are in many ways the "backbone" of genealogy research. They are recurring records that provide a glimpse into our ancestors lives, decade by decade. More than 150 million people are enumerated in this Census. Just like previous U.S. census records, the 1950 census will reveal important details about our ancestors’ lives, such as: age, residence, family group, occupation, and immigration status. In some cases, you may even learn details about your ancestors’ income from 1949, their military service, their employment and housing history, and more.

Join us to learn about the upcoming release of the 1950 census images by the National Archives on April 1st. Sharing time/socializing is at 1:30pm and the meeting starts at 2pm. Those wishing to visit may go to https://talgensoc.com/ to request the link to register for the Zoom (virtual) meeting. The Zoom information will be emailed to members and other interested attendees about 3 days prior to the meeting.
