What:
The mission of the Art for Social Justice Interdisciplinary Summer Art Camp is to explore the role that the arts can play in all parts of our life. We believe in the intrinsic value of art, its importance as a social good, and as a catalyst for the development of individuals. The aims of our summer program include learning about educational, social, political and cultural sites of learning. Our educational values are to be learner centered and service oriented; to create an awareness of the important role the arts play in our lives and to create educational and artistic experiences for the youth through rich and meaningful summer programming focused on causes greater than ourselves.
