Murder Mystery Dinner Theater: Virginia Jones and the Inca Revenge

Murder Mystery Dinner Theater: Virginia Jones and the Inca Revenge

Presented by Monticello Opera House at Monticello Opera House

The Opera House Stage Company presents Murder Mystery Dinner Theater: Virginia Jones and the Inca Revenge!

Your ticket to “Virginia Jones,” this year's murder mystery, doubles as your passport to Peru, 1931. The occasion is a celebratory dinner, and it celebrates the rescue and survival of some of the members of an archeological expedition to the high mountains of Peru. As guests, you and your friends will be either survivors of the expedition or members of the brave rescue team. A mysterious avalanche has taken some lives. Poison and a dagger take others. Is it the revenge of the ancient Incas, or is foul play afoot?

The audience will help crack the case! If you are the best detective of the night you might even win tickets to next year's show!

Dinner and drinks will be served in the Blue Iguana Café, a remote dive which doubles as a trading post for the local tribes. Scenes of the show alternate with courses of dinner.

Fortunately, dinner will be prepared by Carrie Ann & Co., rather than The Blue Iguana.

The cast is composed of Stage Co. regulars. Virginia Jones, cousin to Indiana, is Amanda Street. Her love interest, Professor Marcus, is played by Mickey Clickner. Margaretta, Virginia’s rival, is Stephanie Taylor. Steven Webster is Nigel, owner of the Blue Iguana. The role of Dobbs, Professor Marcus’ assistant is filled by Brannan Salter. Hot blooded Carmen is Lisa Reasoner Hall. The parts of Franz the trail guide, Manuel the guerilla, and the Shaman are done by Jack Williams. Carly Peary is The Ninja, and Jan Williams is “The Sounds of the Night.”

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings.
The doors open at 6:30, with dinner and the show starting at 7:00.

Audience participation is NOT required. Some audience members may be tapped to participate on stage but you will have a choice.
