Exhibit Opening: Joy & Excellence ft. Donald Davis & Lei Snelling

Presented by LeMoyne Arts at LeMoyne Arts

Joy & Excellence is an exhibit in recognition of Black History Month featuring artists Donald Davis & Lei Snelling and showcasing works from local and regional artists of color. This exhibit is a space for people of color to celebrate identity, culture, and self-expression as we continue to work towards equality.
Music will be performed by Jacob Allison, a Tallahassee native and current senior at Lincoln High School. Jacob picked up a guitar in 6th grade and soon discovered how much he enjoyed it as a hobby. Jacob reflects, “Music has always been my first love but to be able to play for others is what I enjoy doing the most.”
Postponed to Feb. 5th at 11:45am: The Essential Theater Associates is made up of theatre professionals, teachers, musicians, and entrepreneurs whose goal is to enlighten and inspire the next generation of creative artists and the community by bringing stories and songs of cultures within the African diaspora from around the world. They will be reading and performing "The People Could Fly" by Virginia Hamilton.
