Art exhibit featuring 3-D murals created with alternate reality
Kenny Maguire, fine artist and well-known Tallahassee muralist, has just completed the first three-dimensional mural in Georgia. Using augmented reality, Kenny can add 3-d forms that appear to float in the same space as a mural. Kenny’s 3-d modeling is accessible to viewers by scanning an embedded QR code. The model appears, can be manipulate by the viewer, and then incorporated into still and motion pictures. When walking by the mural, the viewer sees the mural as a flat, complete, work of art. When viewing the mural through a cellphone camera, a whole new three dimensional world is created and controlled by the photographer. Bring your cellphone and take a step into Kenny’s world of augmented reality.
