Founded in 1975 by Executive Director, Christina F. Williams. Annual tour of all Leon County Parks & Recreation facilities to expose children to live musical theatre. Offer School Matinees on a per show reduced rate basis to expose students in Leon County and the surrounding areas to live theatre productions.

School Matinees

Program description

Young Actors Theatre offers school matinee performances of its shows. The shows are between 60 – 90 minutes and are held at YAT’s theatre. Shows vary by the season. Call or email Robert Stuart to receive upcoming shows and performance dates/times. The 2014-2015 season will include productions of Cinderella, Thirteen the Musical, Free to be You and Me, and 42nd Street.

Pre-/Post-visit Materials: Study guides include pre and post show activities, which are tied to the State Standards, are distributed to teachers.
